ACU’s online BSN to DNP program is a post-bachelor's pathway designed for students who wish to move quickly to a Doctor of Nursing Practice program. This fast track eliminates the need to complete a Master of Science in Nursing degree before pursuing a DNP while saving time and money.

ACU’s BSN to DNP program gives you the opportunity to pursue an advanced degree through a 100% online, CCNE-accredited program. BSN-prepared nurses can graduate with a DNP in approximately 3 years with a solid foundation in nursing practice and theory. During the pathway program, you will be able to obtain clinical hours. Following successful completion of pathway courses, you can transition directly into the DNP program with no additional application.

Founded in 1906, we’re a private, non-profit university committed to innovative, energized learning. In 2015 we launched our Dallas campus, home to our online graduate and undergraduate programs that serve the educational needs of working adults.

To be considered for admission, students must:

  • Complete the online program application accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee.
  • Submit official transcripts from the accredited colleges or universities that awarded the baccalaureate degree to the applicant sent in a registrar's sealed and stamped/signed envelope or official electronic transcripts.
  • Have a minimum nursing cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Supply two professional recommendation letters that attest to the applicant's academic abilities, character, and professional abilities.
  • Author a 500-word purpose statement outlining the applicant's interest in the BSN to DNP program and their career professional goals (written in APA format).
  • Submit a professional CV or resume.
  • Provide proof of unencumbered registered nurse licensure in the United States.
  • Have completed an undergraduate level statistics course with a "C" or better.
